Two options are available to Schools who wish to ride on Five Rivers Delta Safaris US Coast Guard Inspected Pontoon Boat the "Pelican":

Scheduled Tours
The 5 Rivers Scheduled Delta Tour's are a 2 hour, 12 mile roundtrip through the Delta that covers information on Fauna and Flora of the Delta, Civil War history (including Forts Huger, Tracy and the Battle of Blakely), Information on the Ghost Fleet, Some Gator spotting, Information about the Delta itself (including State lands Forever Wild Program and statistics on the Delta's size etc), as well as information on Native American tribes and life in the Delta.

School Group Charter Tours
Groups who wish to visit outside of the "Pelican's" Daily Scheduled Tour timetable or provide enough advance booking to allow the timetable to be adjusted, can have a catered tour to meet their specific needs and education requirements. See our page on Tailored Education for more information. Catered Tours can run from a rotating 30 min roundtrip to full day excursions.

 The "Pelican" carries 25 Passengers max.

School Bookings

All School bookings (Elementary, Middle and High School only) are coordinated in conjunction with a FREE State Lands presentation that takes approx. 1 hour (1/2 hour - Apalachee Exhibit Hall, 1/2 hour Tensaw Theatre). School Groups can be rotated through with a 1/2 hour lunch break and 1/2 hour "Live Oak" trail walk (approx. 1.5 mile) for total of 2 hours on land, 2 hours on the boat.

School groups are also provided with Customized Commentary to meet the needs of the group/class, Quiz's based on the information covered during the trip and Prizes for the top 3 quiz sheets.
